How many people were familiar with Teams or Zoom before 2020? As the world changed dramatically in late March 2020, a significant portion of our communications and meetings suddenly shifted to a completely digital format, overtaking traditional phone calls and conference calls.

The convenience of the format has lasted well beyond the lock-down years. Although I still enjoy meeting face-to-face, I recognise the scheduling and environmental benefits of eliminating the need to travel back and forth for appointments.

During the lockdown period, we became accustomed to the virtual meeting format, with our living spaces serving as the backdrop (or a more tropical image digitally inserted). Online meetings have become increasingly popular and familiar, leading to the integration of virtual meeting rooms in many offices. These meeting rooms offer an appropriate setting for both one-on-one and group discussions from different locations as well as becoming the ideal, in-house presentation suite.

If online meetings are an integral part of your work routine, it may be worth considering whether your current hardware setup is adequate for your business needs.
